Wintery Frosting Standoff - Cake Decorating Competition   REGISTRATION FORM

9:00 AM Children 6-16     10:00 AM Adults 17+

All entries must be prepaid by Feb. 16th. Children will be decorating a cupcake, Adults will be decorating a 6" cake. Cake & decorating supplies will be included in the entry fee. Theme is Winter Wonderland. Half the proceeds will be distributed as prize money & donated to the White Out Weekend committee.

Jr. Firefighter Course - try on equipment, move through obstacles & see the fire trucks! Special appearance by Smokey Bear with thanks to our local Forest Rangers and DEC from 12:30 - 1:00 PM.

Come in and warm up, hot drinks will be free! Our train will be up and running, meet our train workers and get a tour.
See all our displays, Newton Falls Paper Mill, Five Ponds and more. Children will be able to play with our new children's wooden train with Thomas engines. Children will receive a free railway hat. Color a train picture to enter in a coloring contest. Listen to a reading about trains.

Fun filled day of snowmobiling. Come by snowmobile or car. Raffles, BBQ, bonfire. Local clubs will be here. More to come!


CRANBERRY LAKE FIRE DEPT HALL: 6:30 - 9:00 PM

Contra and Square Dancing to live and lively Celtic, Old Time and French Canadian fiddle music. All are welcome. Come dance or just watch and listen. Free admission thanks to Cranberry Lake Boat Club. Refreshments $

Otto's Abode will host the Wanakena Historical Association's Winter Photography Contest* Opening Reception. Public voting on winners, live music & hot drinks inside*. Snow croquet & a bonfire* going outside. Prizes furnished by professional photographer, Kristin Rehder  kvrehder.com

Lights Across the Wanakena Footbridge 

Our beautiful footbridge is back & we'll be lighting luminaries across the bridge as well as tethering eco-friendly, (100% biodegradable, wire-free & fire-proof fuel cell), paper lanterns. Dedicate one in honor, memory or celebration.  Silent Auction benefiting WOW ends at 9:00.

Luminaries: $2/ea Lanterns: $5/ea - limited quantity


Head over to Pine Cone Grill afterwards for hot toddies, food, live music & a bonfire.
